State of TomorrowTM is a 13-episode documentary series of half-hour programs that focuses on issues such as these that are critical to Texans — and to all Americans. Traveling across the state to Texas' public institutions of higher education, this series highlights extraordinary work, groundbreaking research and the state's most innovative thinkers who are committed to solving the greatest challenges of this new century. The University of Texas System, The Texas A&M University System, The Texas State University System, Texas Tech University System, University of Houston System and University of North Texas System have all collaborated in this unprecedented series that highlights extraordinary work going on at campuses around the state.
Throughout the series, we will meet families who are grappling with serious illness, men and women preparing to confront disasters, and researchers pursuing the most intricate, elusive problems of health, science, education, technology and the environment. State of Tomorrow tells unforgettable personal stories about the greatest issues of our time. From researchers who have dedicated their lives to improving the human condition to people profoundly affected by today's challenges, this series interweaves the difficulties we face as a society with the promise of a better future.
